Professionals spend years working on their golf swings. It would be nice to say just hit the ball. But it does not work that way. Professional golfers are chronically receiving coaching, lessons, practicing, drilling and refining their golf swings just as you are also trying to improve your golf swing in the same manner.
Each golfer is unique in the sense that the golf swing is made up of your address. How is your grip? I tend to choke or hold the shaft too tightly. Then that tightness works up the muscles of the arms and I am in trouble before I attempt to hit the ball. The palms of your hands, your hand placement on the shaft, your finger placement, and the looseness of the hold with your natural golf swing will bring you success sending the golf ball to the designated target.
Take a look at your grip. Once you have corrected and established a successful grip, do not change it.
Good posture is essential to good golf swings. You need to protect your back as well as to have correct alignment to execute a good swing.
Flex your knees and bend from the hips with a straight back. You do not want to bend in a forward spinal curve from the shoulders. This posture will not allow you to hit the golf ball correctly.
Get in the habit of waddling which is shifting your weight from side to side. Check the placement of your toes and heel for foot positioning. Normal balance is on the balls of the feet, however, there will be some exceptions.
