1. Finding your position

When you are looking to find the right golf stance always remember that you should stand shoulders with apart. All ways make your shoulders stay straight up and down with your target. One that most people use is put the club in your left hand and place your thumb on the shaft. The best way to describe this is to point the v between your thumb and finger and point it to the target. Now put your right hand on the club over your other hand and place your left thumb in your right hand. This is a common grip. One of the biggest problems that golfers have is holding the club way to tight with their right hand and this cause the ball to shoot straight left. So don’t hold it so tight and it will help fix a slice. But this will happen the other way as well, a grip that is to lose will slice the ball to the right.
So play around with this a little bit and see what feels good and what gives you a natural golf swing. People will tell you all the time that you can only hit the ball one way but that’s not true. As long as you meet the ball with a even club head and hit the ground before the ball, and find a way to do this all in one motion then this will help fix a slice. Make a few adjustments at the range and you will find that it will help you on the course.

3. A good backswing

A good backswing and shoulder turn is a “must have” when you are trying to fix a slice. The backswing will begin with your grip then arms, shoulders and make sure you do this all in one motion. You want to make sure you keep your head behind the ball and try and place your left eye one the ball, even if you have to tilt you head a bit. This will give you a head start with your shoulder turn. Once you put all these in motion you will start to see your natural golf swing and you will fix a slice a lot faster.
The game of golf is hard but don’t let this hold you back from playing the game you love. You have to practice or you will never fix a slice. So the next time you’re at the range put these tips in the back of your mind and work on them. Make sure you are at least hitting the ball pretty good before you play on the course.
